The Give Us Wings Discovery Trips are service trips, with an emphasis on creating awareness about poverty and development in rural communities in Kenya and Uganda.
- You will meet with community-based groups to talk about the effects of poverty and you will discuss ways to alleviate poverty.
- You will have opportunities to talk one-to-one with men, women and children with whom we have worked for over a decade.
- We can also arrange for you to spend time with a family and experience for yourself, daily life in rural Kenya and Uganda.
- Additionally, you can take part in a variety of hands-on projects, such as, working at a Give Us Wings’ Health Clinics in Kenya or Uganda, tutoring students, building homes, assisting in community organization and agricultural work.
You will be inspired by the loving, hard-working people you meet in Africa. And you will have opportunities to use your personal skills, talents, and enthusiasm to assist our partners improve their lives. Give Us Wings Discovery Trips are truly life-changing.
Volunteer travelers are responsible for the cost of their trip and airfare.
We are currently in the process of planning two trips in the coming year. Our first trip is scheduled for two weeks in August 2013 to Kenya. The second trip is scheduled for two weeks in January 2014 to Uganda.
We are currently taking reservations for both trips. Each trip needs at least ten travelers in order to occur. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 651-789-5606.
